Bathysphere

A bathysphere was a vessel used to travel deep underwater, and also within the dense gravitic layers of a gas giant. Aquatic bathyspheres were used extensively on the planet Dac. The smuggler Roark Garnet once crossed paths with the crew of an Imperial-controlled bathysphere. He was forced to form a temporary truce with one of the Imperials when the damaged craft plummeted below the cloud layer of a Jovian gas giant. The Imperial and Garnet respectively steadied the vessel's descent and repaired its repulsors before engaging in a firefight.
