Kalvan Oliq was an individual who died because of the New Republic by the time of the Battle of Jakku in 5 ABY. During the battle, Palal Seedia, a TIE fighter pilot of the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, recited Oliq's name, as well as names of other comrades she had lost as a result of the New Republic's actions, in the midst of a confrontation with the New Republic pilot Wyl Lark.
