Sendril Crane was a human male who served the ISB. Prior to the Clone Wars, Crane was responsible for ruthlessly training several young operatives that he regarded as his children for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He later defected to the Galactic Republic after realizing the war was lost and after its reformation into the Galactic Empire joined the ISB. Working for the Surveillance Branch, Crane used his autonomy to hunt down Sohi, whom he regarded as his best operative, and the clone Ponder, after their robbery of the Ronik Casino in Canto Bight. After discovering the pair were traveling with Clone Force 99, Crane was soon forced into a double agent role investigating Cellia Moten, who was pursuing Clone Force 99 and Phee Genoa, and was trying to use Crane to discover Emperor Palpatine's secret project. When the fugitives were discovered on Tryth, Crane found his mission hijacked by Moten, who had arranged the deaths of his ISB team. Crane then planned to desert the ISB, vowing that once he had regained Sohi's loyalty, he would return to exact vengeance on Moten. However, in pursuing Sohi's newborn daughter, Coru, he was fatally shot by Ponder, causing him to fall to his death into a vat of mercury.
