Travia Chan

Travia Chan was a military leader who resisted the Galactic Empire on her homeworld Fest, led the Rebel Alliance's Atrivis Sector Force, and continued serving the New Republic in the Atrivis sector. The woman led the Fest Resistance Group against their homeworld's collaborationist government and the Imperial occupation. When the neighboring planet Mantooine's "Liberators" tried to rally their world in revolt against the Empire, Chan and her people were powerless as they watched Imperial forces massacring the Liberators—although Chan's group had known of the Imperials' presence, they had no established communication with the Liberators.

With strengthened determination, Travia Chan's group reached out to the surviving Mantooine Liberators and set out on uniting the Atrivis sector's scattered resistance into an underground network led by Chan herself as commander-in-chief. Her effective and cool judgement in battle earned her the name "Icewoman" to her enemies, though she was known to fellow Rebels like her chief of staff, Mantooine's Loom Carplin, as Trav. The Atrivis Rebels' leadership were convinced to join the larger Alliance to Restore the Republic after debating the costs and benefits promised by the Alliance leader, Mon Mothma. Based in the Generis system, the Atrivis Sector Force then played crucial roles in supply and communication under Chan's continued leadership, with their sector's struggles influencing the course of the war against the Empire.
