The ambush at the Zavian Abyss occurred when the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Overseer was lured inside the Zavian Abyss and ambushed by the New Republic, to prevent it from finding Project Starhawk. During the ambush, the New Republic revealed the newly completed prototype Starhawk-class battleship Starhawk and forced the Overseer, to retreat.
