In 228 BBY, an assault on Naboo was carried out by the Jedi Order and Republic Defense Coalition in order to liberate the Mid Rim planet Naboo which was under occupation from Nihil forces led by General Abediah Viess. While the Jedi and Republic forces led by Jedi Master Avar Kriss were able to successfully free Naboo from the Nihil, they were unable to prevent Viess from escaping.
