Attack on Nechrim's Wake
Canon Linked from 8 articles
The attack on Nechrim's Wake began after a chaotic meeting between New Republic representative Leia Organa and Fenril Consortium representative Kezrin Almovar clarified that the New Republic and its starships were not welcome in the Fenril sector and would be met with force should they try.
Because of this, while entering the sector, the CR90 corvette Nechrim's Wake and other vessels were attacked by multiple Zantarrk Gang starships and the trading vessel was forced to crash land on Loradil, where its crew was attacked by Confederacy of Independent Systems battle droids.
Leia and Mon Mothma discussed the attack afterwards on Chandrila, Leia thinking it was an indication of their enemies getting "into position". Even later, Mon Mothma contacted the Millennium Falcon with news of the attack in order to send New Republic heroes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Rynn Zenat, and Beilert Valance to rescue the survivors on Loradil.
