Attack on the Scepter

In 5 ABY, the New Republic launched an attack on the Scepter, the flagship Imperial-class Star Destroyer of Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard, following his involvement with an Assassination attempt on New Republic leadership on the New Republic capital Chandrila. Prior to the New Republic's involvement, however, Adelhard had confronted his Advisor Reyna Oskure after discovering her allegiance to the remains of the Galactic Empire, whom Adelhard's Imperial remnant had broken ties with.

As New Republic forces began to arrive, Oskure, with the help of the Mercenary Kranor, gained the upper hand over Adelhard, and ordered Kranor to execute the Grand Moff as she took command of the Scepter for battle. However, in Oskure's absence, Kranor allowed Adelhard and his right hand man Bragh to flee while still claiming Oskure he had killed them, allowing Adelhard and his most loyal troops escape to Gallowyss via escape pod. Shortly after, Oskure requested backup from Adelhard's fleet and disbanded the Iron Blockade, a blockade in which Adelhard had effectively quarantined the Anoat sector following the Battle of Endor. After receiving a communication from Oskure informing them of such actions and requesting that they leave the Anoat sector alone, the New Republic retreated back to Chandrila at the request of Admiral Gial Ackbar.
