During the Cold War, a battle betweeen between the forces of the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire occurred above the planet of Saleucami. The battle was the result of the ambush of an Imperial reconnaissance squadron on a classified mission by the Republic starfighter squadron nicknamed the "Solar Thrantas", led by the notorious ace pilot Nezhel "Sunspot" Othren. The skirmish turned into a battle when both sides reinforced their starfighters with several capital ships. Eventually the Empire came out on top when members of the Empire's Fury squadron arrived and eliminated Othren and his squadron.
