In 339 BBY, the Chiss Ascendancy's Clarr family defeated a numerically superior Irizi family force by disabling one of their warships' engines and comm and putting the vessel in a long, elliptical orbit that took it near the Irizi force. Members of the Clarr family that held the rank of blood were familiar with the battle.
