In the midst of the Orinda campaign, a major campaign of the Galactic Civil War that played out in 12 ABY, a battle was fought in the Tyan system. New Republic forces led by General Wedge Antilles and Imperial Remnant forces led by Head of State Gilad Pellaeon had been stalking each other throughout the Mid Rim, and after the New Republic's Rogue Squadron and the Remnant's 181st Imperial Fighter Group fought to a stalemate at Orocco, the 181st found themselves pitted against Antilles and the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Lusankya at Tyan. Led by Turr Phennir, the 181st bested the Lusankya, and the world was claimed by the Remnant.
