The Galactic Concordance, also known as the Imperial Instruments of Surrender, was a historic peace treaty between the Galactic Empire and New Republic. The treaty was signed by Grand Vizier Mas Amedda of the Empire and Chancellor of the New Republic Mon Mothma on the planet Chandrila after the final defeat of the Empire on Jakku. It formalized the official end the Galactic Civil War a year after Emperor Sheev Palpatine's death during the Battle of Endor with the stipulation of the Galactic Empire's unconditional surrender and fall.

Disarmament limitations on military technology and production on the were enacted after the end of the Empire, with galactic corporations strictly prohibited from working with any possible successors. Despite these restrictions, the immediate years after the war, Imperial Remnant would violate the treaty, followed decades later by the First Order, which began rapidly rearming, intending to reclaim Imperial legacy.
