Kaleesh-Yam'rii war

A ruthless war was fought between the Kaleesh, a species of reptilian from Kalee, and the Yam'rii, an insectoid species from the planetary neighbor Huk in the same-named star system to their own in Wild Space of the galaxy years before the Clone Wars. The Yam'rii attacked many planets in their sector and conquered them, taking their resources and enslaving many of their inhabitants, and Kalee suffered greatly. In response, Kaleesh warlord Grievous led his people in his homeworld's war against the Yam'rii and launched a series of campaigns that spread across the barren Huk worlds. The Yam'rii went to the Galactic Republic for assistance, and the Jedi arrived, standing with the Yam'rii against the invaders.
