The Liberation of Coruscant, also known as the Seizure of Coruscant, the Battle for Coruscant, the Taking of Coruscant, and the Siege of Coruscant, was the battle in 7 ABY in which the fledgling New Republic captured control of the galactic capital planet of Coruscant from the Galactic Empire, causing the regime to lose influence, hastening an eventual end to the Galactic Civil War.
