A mission to the moon Nar Shaddaa was undertaken by the crew of the starship Millennium Falcon during Operation Shadow Hand. Han Solo, his wife Leia Organa Solo and their allies sought to rescue the fugitive Jedi Vima-Da-Boda. Meanwhile, Dark Jedi Zasm Katth and Baddon Fass, commanding the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Invincible were on a mission of their own on the moon. The two darksiders had orders from their leader, Sedriss QL, to recruit the bounty hunter Boba Fett and then locate the Millennium Falcon and kill Vima-Da-Boda.
Fett refused to cooperate with the Imperial forces and struck out on his own in an attempt to capture Solo. Fass and Katth were killed when the Invincible collided with a traffic control pylon operated by Mako Spince. Solo and his allies successfully retrieved Vima-Da-Boda and escaped only to be pursued by Fett, forcing them to take shelter on Ganath.
