In 9 ABY, Imperial scout ships, directed by Grand Admiral Thrawn, conducted an information raid on Obroa-skai's extensive library, in order to uncover the location of the planet Wayland. An Elomin task force, patrolling the system as part of the New Republic's diplomatic efforts to bring Obroa-skai into the Republic, gave chase and followed the scouts into hyperspace.
