During the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, the Rebel X-wing squadron Soaring Dactillions conducted a raid on the Fondor Shipyards, a key starship construction facility in orbit of the planet Fondor. The result was that the Rebel pilots took a high amount of casualties, which resulted in the unit being rendered under-strength and rotated to the Cardooine base. A week later, the squadron defended their base using prototype starfighters.
