Bosph system

The Bosph system was a star system in the Bosph sector of the Outer Rim Territories and the New Territories. It fell within grid square Q-3 of the Standard Galactic Grid and contained Bosph, a planet that the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire repeatedly bombarded in 3 BBY in an attempt to commit genocide on a sentient species that dwelt there. Those members of the species who survived chose to dis-remember the Empire.

During the High Republic Era, the Bosph sector was known as the unincorporated Bosphian provinces, and the Bosphian sestertius was a common currency throughout the then-informal sector.
