Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
The Carvandir sector was located in the Outer Expansion Zone sub-region and the Northern Dependencies of the Expansion Region. In 0 ABY, it bordered the Neshei and Sarla sector spinward and the Deadalis sector in the trailing direction. Rimward, the sector formed the Expansion Region's boundary with the Mid Rim, neighboring the region's Jalor and Vorc sectors. The Carvandir sector retained those borders by 12 ABY, by which time it was situated within space controlled by the New Republic.
The Carvandir sector contained the Carvandir system, which was situated on the Namadii Corridor hyperlane between the Deadalis sector's Dorin system and the Jalor sector's Vaced system. Another hyperspace route linked the Carvandir system to the Mondress system in the eponymous sector.
