Herglic Alley

The Herglic Alley was a hyperspace route in the Colonies and the Interior. It connected the planet Giju in the Giju system of Herglic Space with the Byblos system. Giju acted as a junction between the route and both the Rimma Trade Route and Giju Run, while the Byblos system was also on the Corellian Run. The linkage of the Rimma Trade Route and the Corellian Run resulted in Giju receiving a lot of visitors. The route shared its name with the sentient Herglic species.

By 10 BBY, the pirate queen Maz Kanata marked the Herglic Alley on a map in the book known as the Smuggler's Guide. The map's key identified the route as one of the "real" trade routes for smugglers to use, as opposed to the official ones. The chef Strono Tuggs also mentioned the route in the recipe for a beverage known as Giju Glug in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published in 35 ABY.
