The Vanzeist system was located in the Suolriep sector within the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. Lying in the grid square S-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid, it contained the terrestrial astronomical object Vanzeist, where the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry once celebrated a victory against the Galactic Empire by 3 ABY. Vanzeist was also where Prelate Verge of the Empire promised a detail of stormtroopers to be sent to protect the family of Imperial Lieutenant Kourterel from the members of the Alliance.
