The Zebitrope system was a part of the Centrality sector in the Slice portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was situated at the endpoint of the Cadma Conduit hyperlane, which connected it to the Cadma system. The Zebitrope system contained the terrestrial planets Zebitrope IV and Zebitrope VIII, which occupied the fourth and eighth orbital positions, respectively.
Zebitrope IV was the homeworld of a rare species of lizard that could also be found on Zebitrope VIII. The lizards had a symbiotic relationship with a type of mold that only grew on the reptiles' backs. The mold was the only source of the valuable and illegal drug lesai, which was exported to the wider galaxy by smugglers. They regularly visited Zebitrope VIII after completing the spice-trafficking route known as the Kessel Run, thereby leading to the route's extension ending at the Zebitrope system to be named the Kessel Hop.
