A meiloorun was a type of foodstuff that had a rind and would split when overripe. In 7 ABY, members of the New Republic's Rogue Squadron fought a group of Imperial stormtroopers on the planet Coruscant. During the fight, Mirax Terrik—one of the Rogues—shot a trooper, causing him to fall off his speeder bike and split his helmet in a way similar to an overripe meiloorun.
