Moonfruits were a type of fruit. At some point during the High Republic Era, the Jedi youngling Gavi levitated one of the fruits with Padawan Ram Jomaram spectating in a training room within the Outer Rim planet Valo's Jedi temple. When Jomaram met Gavi again in 229 BBY, the Padawan struggled to remember the youngling, vaguely recalling the younger student lifting a moonfruit in a training room.
Around 4 ABY, the Galactic Empire scout trooper Hoyel was knocked out by an Ewok. The following day, he woke up with his head throbbing in pain, comparing the sensation to a rotten moonfruit ready to burst.
