Novian ore was a type of ore that could be smelted to forge saw blades. The ore could found on the swamp planet Safrifa.
While on Safrifa in 231 BBY, the mercenary Ty Yorrick accepted a payment of novian ore from a marsh-lord on the world after rescuing their son from a rival clan. Afterward, Yorrick planned to have the ore melted down into saw blades by an armorer on the Mid Rim shadowport Keldooine. However, she ultimately accepted another job on Safrifa after two Safrifan farmers offered her more novian ore in exchange for the Yorrick's monster-hunting services.
