Unidentified blue grass

A type of blue grass grew on the savannahs of the Expansion Region planet Kerkoidia in such numbers that they gave the world a cerulean coloration when viewed from orbit. The long blades of the grass grew as tall as a Wookiee—a species with an average adult height of between 2.25 and 2.5 meters—while the heads found at the tip of each grass stalk could be harvested and used as grain.
The Kerkoiden species native to Kerkoidia mostly ground these hearty kernels down to make flour. During a culinary tour of the galaxy that he took between 34 ABY and 35 ABY, the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs visited Kerkoidia and was surprised to find its blue coloration was caused by the grass rather than oceans. After experimenting with the versetile grass grains, he discovered that he prefered steaming them to make a dish called Kerkoidia Grains. He included a recipe for the dish in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published in 35 ABY.
