The Viceroy of the Trade Federation was the senior executive position of the Trade Federation conglomerate. They were served by the Neimoidian Royal Guard. The Sith Lord Darth Sidious manipulated Nute Gunray's rise to the position, that would allow the megacorporation's invasion of the planet Naboo in the following year, Gunray served as Viceroy of the Trade Federation during the invasion and, despite facing several trials in the Supreme Court, kept the title during the subsequent Clone Wars.
