The Geonosian alphabet was the written form of the language used by Geonosians, a species of sentient insects from the planet Geonosis. When Poggle the Lesser entrusted Count Dooku with the Death Star plans during the First Battle of Geonosis, the typeface was used on a set of display screens in their secret meeting room.
The alphabet appeared on a monitor in a nest where the lone Geonosian Klik-Klak made his home on Geonosis. However, it produced nothing but gibberish when transliterated, suggesting that the message was not in Galactic Basic.
