Confederation

The Confederation, known also as the Corellian Confederation, was the galaxy-wide confederacy founded by Thrackan Sal-Solo, and led by Corellia, which fought the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances in the Second Galactic Civil War from 40 ABY until at least 43 ABY. The Confederation portrayed themselves fighting for freedom against a corrupt Galactic Alliance, who labeled them as terrorists. The Confederation was eventually defeated by the Galactic Alliance and forced to surrender in the last battle of the war. However, following the death of Darth Caedus, it took part in peace talks proposed by the Jedi Coalition.

After the war, the Confederation remained an independent government and emerged as one of the three major galactic powers, alongside the Galactic Alliance and Imperial Remnant.
