The New Republic Amnesty Program was a rehabilitation program operated by the New Republic during the New Republic Era, established after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Imperial sympathisers such as Penn Pershing were signed on to the program from the Re-Integration Institute and given accommodation in Amnesty Housing on the planet Coruscant, while parole droids monitored their progress in rejecting Imperial conditioning and their Amnesty Affairs Commissioner oversaw their rehabilitation.
