Renegade Squadron

Renegade Squadron was a starfighter squadron and strike force that served the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. In 3 ABY, the squadron was caught in an Imperial ambush at Derra IV, resulting in the death of at least one of its pilots, Vollix.

Following the Imperial victory at the Battle of Hoth, Renegade Squadron fled Hoth alongside the Alliance. During their retreat, they destroyed two Victory II-class Star Destroyers that were part of the Imperial blockade of the Hoth system. In response, the Empire deployed a unit of prototype TIE Defenders, six of which were destroyed by the squadron.

In 4 ABY, Renegade Squadron participated in the Battle of Endor as part of the Alliance's surface attack.
