Mazeem Vugg

Mazeem Vugg was a Duros who served as a pilot in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. While serving in Oracle Squadron, Vugg and their romantic partner, Vollix, fought in an engagement at Lish 5.

After the battle, Oracle Leader Yihgo Ploc expressed concerns that the couple might struggle to follow orders if the other was in danger, potentially reducing their combat effectiveness, which the two agreed with. Vollix then applied for a transfer to a different squadron.

Following his transfer to Renegade Squadron, in 3 ABY, Vollix was killed in an ambush at Derra IV. Afterward, Vugg wrote to Vollix's family, who did not wish to hear from Vugg because they disapproved of relationships between a Duros and a Shistavanen. Later, in an interview with historian Arhul Hextrophon for the New Republic Heritage Division, Vugg described their relationship with Vollix, and their dreams of living together on Duro after the war.
