Straan Valgar's mob

Straan Valgar's mob was a criminal organization operating out of the Port Hunavon space station during the High Republic Era. Led by the Gloovan crime boss Straan Valgar, their operations included organizing cage matches on which patrons bet. In 228 BBY, after Jedi Master Keeve Trennis surreptitiously altered the outcome of one of Valgar's matches with the Force, Valgar was confronted by the bounty hunter Quin Carree, who was in search of Valgar's wife, Muglan Tarantyne. Carree killed his bodyguard Môr and shot out both of his knees before Valgar could call for backup. Although the information of Tarantyne's location was eventually revealed when Jedi Master Avar Kriss soothed his pain, Valgar's mob pursued those involved with their boss's interrogation, resulting in a shootout at the hangar where the Jedi's starship was.
