Class Four infraction

Class Four infractions were one of the five categories of crime outlined in the Imperial Penal Code during the Imperial Era alongside Class Five, Class Three, Class Two and Class One infractions. Crimes in this category included, but were not limited to: Import or export of any form of narcotic without a permit Unregulated transport of goods that require a fee or permit to be purchased Failure to produce the operating license of either a ship or a ship's captain when questioned by Imperial authority Failure to produce either the ID profile of a ship or the ID number of a ship's captain when questioned by Imperial authority

Standard Imperial punishment for this type of violation ranged from fines of 1.000 up to 5.000 credits, and sometimes a short jail sentence for the main offender. In case a starship crew was found guilty of a Class Four infraction, the starship's owner or captain is typically considered the main offender.
