Cobalt was one of the substances that soil on the planet Lah'mu contained. The planet's groundwater was unpleasant to drink due to the soil's boron, chlorine, cobalt, iron, nitrogen, and zinc content. The substance shared its name with a color featured in the names of various costumes and weapons used by Hunters of the Grand Arena on Vespaara including Sentinel, Aran Tal, Zaina, Utooni, and Sprocket in 9 ABY.
