A coded virus that erased all clues of its presence in a starship's systems was used by the New Republic during the Taking of Kuat in 8 ABY. The computer virus was installed into the Imperial Event Horizon and four Star Destroyers by astromech droids, and caused them to fire upon the other Imperial warships with their laser cannons during the battle.
