Dewback egg

Dewback eggs were the eggs produced by the reptilian dewback species found in the deserts of the planet Tatooine. Although the omnivorous dewbacks were near the top of the world's foodchain, their eggs were vulnerable to predators. To compensate for this and keep the species' population sustainable, dewback females produced between fifty and eighty-five eggs per year and buried them beneath the sand. Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts Director of Creature Cartography Ardis San Tekka mentioned dewback eggs when writing about dewbacks in her journal at some point after the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY.
