A larynx was a part of a Human's anatomy which was located in the throat, functioning as the voice box. Each Human had only a single larynx. When an individual was Force choked, damage was sometimes done to the larynx, which could be fatal.

One part of Crozo Industrial Products' At-cyb husher mike was surgically implanted into an individual's throat near the larynx. The vocalizer implant transmitted subvocalized messages, translating the movements of the individual's jaw, tongue, and vocal cords.
