Mollusk

A mollusk or mollusc was any of numerous species that typically had a soft meaty body and a protective shell. Examples included the Paklarn grist mollusks. Non-sentient mollusks were a source of food to certain intelligent species, like the Gungan. The meat of mollusks could be used to make mollusk jerky, which was considered a delicacy on the Inner Rim planet Pijal. There also existed at least one race of sentient mollusks.
