Salvage yard

A salvage yard was a facility where obsolete or decommissioned spacecraft, ranging from starfighters to capital ships, were dismantled for scrap or destroyed after being salvaged for valuable components. Repaak Salyard was a salvage yard on the planet Ferrix operated by Salman Paak. Reklam Station, an Imperial salvage yard orbiting within the atmosphere of the planet Yarma, was used to destroy old Republic Y-wings whose hyperdrives had been salvaged. Some shipyards, such as the one at Kartoosh, served also as salvage yards. During the era of the New Republic, the New Republic maintained a salvage yard called the Shipyard Depot on the planet Coruscant, used to salvage components from decommissioned Imperial Star Destroyers. The Santhe Shipyards ran a facility on the planet Corellia which could service ships as large as a Super Star Destroyer, including the Executor-class.
