Taxi droid

A droid taxi, also known as taxi droid or cabby droid, was a form of taxi service/vehicle that was droid-piloted. Droid taxis navigated the spaceports of Tatooine during the late Republic Era. During the Imperial Era, Luke Skywalker took what he deemed a conservative droid taxi that was programmed for safety rather than speed. It transported him at street level through the Lodos district of Denon. In around 9 ABY, a taxi droid piloted Doctor Penn Pershing in an air taxi from the Galaxies Opera House to Amnesty Housing on the planet Coruscant.
