Wood

Wood was a material which could be used in the construction of objects. Princess Leia Organa owned a carved wooden keepsake chest and a bed made from priceless Glee Anselm hardwoods. On the night before the Battle of Endor, the smuggler Han Solo carved a figurine made of wood intending to depict Organa wearing a primitive dress and wielding a spear. Types of wood included greel-wood and Wroshyr wood. Wookiees blended off-world technology like blasters and lightsabers with traditional materials such as wood, precious stones, and metals. Shyriiwook, a language spoken by Wookiees, had 150 words for "wood" but no word for "artist," as Wookiees viewed their carving skills as a survival skill and not a talent. The Kilji war cruiser Whetstone meeting room was made out of wood. Some Tusken Raiders of Tatooine fashioned their gaderffii sticks from the wood of the wortwood tree.
