Canon Legends version → Linked from 52 articles
Bestine was a city and the capital of Tatooine. Shortly before the Battle of Yavin, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker spent a night in Bestine while on their way to Mos Eisley. Imperial stormtroopers searching for C-3PO and R2-D2 intercepted a Jawa sandcrawler as it left Bestine. The Tusken Raider Reirin encountered a hooded trader selling stolen goods in the city, who offered to get her offworld in exchange for stealing a crystal from a Jawa clan.
During 3 ABY, the city was under the control of the Galactic Empire.
