Boranda was a celestial body located in the Boranda system, a part of the Manda sector in the Slice portion of the Mid Rim. It was situated between the Holess and Manda systems on the Manda Merchant Route hyperlane.
In 19 ABY, the Human New Republic general Han Solo—who was being nostalgic for his prior smuggling career—negotiated his services for an illegal transportation of Jandarra vegetables to the Inner Rim planet Shalam with Mayor Incavi Baker of the city Death on the Outer Rim Territories planet Jubilar. When introducing himself to Baker's aide and then to the mayor herself, Solo posed as "Luke Morgavi," an "independent trader" from Boranda.
