Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
Keitum was a Mid Rim planet located in the Ariarch sector. It was the origin point of the Keitumites and was a member of the Galactic Republic and a signatory of the Keitumite Mutual Military Treaty, the latter of which bound it to the planet Ansion. In 22 BBY, the Confederacy of the Independent Systems sought to facilitate the secession of the Keitumite Mutual Military Treaty participants from the Republic; however, the Separatist plans were foiled by a Jedi mission to Ansion, which resulted in the planet and the alliance remaining loyal to the Republic.
