Rilias II's moon

A moon was one of multiple moons that orbited the astronomical object Rilias II in the Rilias system, which was part of the Mayagil sector of the Outer Rim Territories and Western Reaches. It lay in grid square M-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid. By 228 BBY, the moon was located with the Occlusion Zone, an area of space separated from the rest of the galaxy by the Nihil marauders'Stormwall hyperspace barrier. That year, the anti-Nihil operative Cair San Tekka broadcast a message recorded by Jedi Master Avar Kriss from a funnel in the central water garden of Rilias II. The funnel had been made from foris alloy mined on the moon, which resonated with minerals found in Rilias II's perma-scatter clouds to amplify certain audio frequencies.

In 228 BBY, the Nihil surrendered to the Galactic Republic after the Stormwall's fall, which dissolved the Occlusion Zone. Locations in the former Occlusion Zone were welcomed to re-join the Republic if they wished. However, some chose to remain independent, while others remained under the control of individual Nihil warlords.
