Verinti was an astronomical object in the Verinti system of the Outer Rim's Vorzyd sector and fell within grid square R-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid. It was where citizen Mav Gatta lived in a homestead. In 3 ABY, the thirteen-year-old Gatta used survival techniques she had seen on the holodrama Troops to save the homestead from raiders. As a reward for her bravery, she was granted a full scholarship by the Galactic Empire to an Imperial Academy. Later that week, the story from Verinti was covered in a HoloNet News broadcast by reporter Dorna Parros.
