Troops was a popular holodrama viewed by the citizen Mav Gatta. In 3 ABY, the thirteen-year-old Gatta used survival skills she had learned from watching the show to save her homestead from raiders, earning her a full scholarship to an Imperial Academy from the Galactic Empire. Troops was then mentioned by reporter Dorna Parros in coverage of Gatta's story on the HoloNet News later that week.
