Yuuzhan'tar was an extra-galactic, living, sentient planet in a distant galaxy, far from the main galaxy. It was the homeworld of the Yuuzhan Vong species, and had a large asteroid belt ring around its equator. The Yuuzhan Vong themselves also referred to the planet simply as "the homeworld". It was destroyed in a devastating ancient conflict that forced the Yuuzhan Yong to leave their native galaxy.

In Yuuzhan Vong, Yuuzhan'tar meant "Crèche of the Gods"; the living planet was a template for the many Yuuzhan Vong deities.
