Aryx

Aryx were large bipedal birds native to the Mid Rim planet Cerea. The Cerean rebel Kidi Aleri rode the birds at some point in her life prior to Operation Yellow Moon in 4 ABY.

While participating in the operation—an Alliance mission designed to distract Imperial forces—Alliance General Leia Organa asked Aleri and the other members of the team taking part in the mission if they knew how to ride. In response, Aleri described the birds to Organa, stating that she was unsure if having ridden them would prepare her to ride the mounts that Organa planned to rent on the Corva sector planet Jaresh.
